Many men as well as women tend to lose their hair primarily because of their poor diets. Another member of the vitamin B family, Inostil, has been linked to baldness. A diet that is not rich in this substance tends to lead to baldness. When the intake was increased, the baldness in lab animals disappeared. Another vitamin is Biotin, a member of the vitamin B family. Studies have shown that it keeps hair loss at bay and can help prevent hair from turning gray. Egg yolks, liver and milk are just some foods that have an abundance of this substance.

Test regarding Zinc has shown that Zinc helps to increase the growth of hair. Vitamin E, which is found in abundance in wheat germ, brussel sprouts, spinach and broccoli, is among the more important nutrients for hair loss. Proven to retard the process of aging, it is strongly believed to help prevent hair from turning gray.

Deficiency of Pantothenic Acid and Vitamin A are also known to have adverse effects on the health of your hair. Inadequate Vitamin A can cause rough and dry skin, whereas Pantothenic Acid is essential for keeping the scalp and the skin healthy and smooth. Deficiency in Panthotenic Acid can lead to a heightened vulnerability to infections and lowered blood pressure. Panthothenic Acid is found in nature in whole grains, egg yolks, potatoes and milk.
