Why is it always so difficult for mainstreamers to believe that MD’s, pharmacists, nurses, etc can change their ways and incorporate "alternative" practices into their operating procedures? I know a pharmacist in his late 40’s that just graduated from chiropractic college. People within every profession have second thoughts about what they practice. Just because someone in the mainstream turns to non-allopathic health care doesn’t mean they have no professional degrees, etc! I am a clinical pharmacist who had no interest in alternative medicine until I began to get more and more questions about alternatives due to the high cost (money and side effects) of main stream medicine. Plus, I myself had back pain (after a microdiscectomy) and really wanted to know what was available. So I looked into alternatives and found very little identifiable support of efficacy or safety for much of what is out there. But, I continued to look and began to find more and more real alternatives with more than just hearsay support. Then a friend introduced me to a new fiber product. I was quite amazed at the clinical documentation, doctors testimonials and literal proof of efficacy and safety, but it wasn
